RoHS Lead (Pb) free Assembly

From mid 2006, most electronic and electrical goods sold to the European Union must comply with the EU Directive 200/95/EC for the Restriction on use of Hazardous Substances. In the assembly process this predominantly means the use of Lead-Free solder with RoHS compliant components. Lead free soldering processes for both surface mount and through-hole circuit boards requires new equipment and training as it requires tighter process controls on increased temperatures, timing and cooling.
